It is possible to play a tennis game inside a building, or outdoors , which is of two types:
single tennis and doubles tennis; the name refers to the number of players, either be only two players in the single game, or four in the double.
In both types, points are counted against any of the competing players in the following cases:
If the player hits the ball more than once, or touch it in the half of the pitch assigned to him.
If the player`s rack touches the grid .
If the ball is hit before passing it to the grid in half the pitch.
If the ball touches any part of the player’s body.
Tennis equipment
The tennis court has a 78-foot rectangular shape (23.7 meters) and is divided into two halves by a three-foot-high grid, about 91 centimeters wide.
The 27-inch (68 cm) tennis racket has a fiberglass and graphite frame, the mesh is made of nylon, the handle is covered with leather, and the weight varies according to the player’s nature.
Tennis balls are hollow rubber balls from the inside, covered with nylon cloth and wool. The colors of the balls used are either white, yellow or green.
Tennis clothes have to be suitable for the body to allow movement freely, the most important thing in the clothing is the shoe, it is made of cloth, and has a rubber base, and without a heel to prevent the player from slipping.
