Oil has helped the exporting countries of the Netherlands, Britain and Russia to develop techniques and methods in the science of oil extraction, exploitation of expertise and skills in this field.  

The presence of oil has encouraged many new industries such as chemicals.

Studies conducted by the Center for Global Development (CGD) have shown the role of oil derivatives as a source of electricity in saving many countries from poverty as a result of facilitating access to reliable and strong sources of energy.

Petroleum chemicals are mainly in the manufacture of plastics, candles, manure, and other products.  Due to oil purification and separation, each element of insulation can be used separately in different industries, such as tar, asphalt, heavy and rigid hydrocarbons. They can all be used for paving roads, treating roofs, and wax products.
