City of Paris
The city of Paris is the capital of the French Republic, and its largest city, the bride of the River Seine, and one of the most important decision-making capitals in the world.
In the first century AD – during the Roman era – it was known as Lutychia, and Baris had several titles, : The City of Love, the City of Fashion, and the City of Light; because it has seen in the Renaissance and Enlightenment the pioneering in science and thought, It is also the first city to be lit up with kerosene lamps.
Location, area and population
The city of Paris is composed of two islands: the island of El San Luis and the island of Ile de la Cité, the old city. Paris located in the heart of France to the north, with an area of 87 square kilometers, not counting the area of the Bologna and Fascennes.

Paris has several world-famous landmarks, including;
The Eiffel Tower, one of the world’s tallest towers, designed by Gustave Eiffel in 1889 and weighing about 10 tons, with two restaurants offering Panoramic view of the city, making it one of the most important tourist attractions in the world.
The famous Champs-Elysées, where the Cafe du Paris, the Lou du Ville, and its shops frequented by tourists from all over the world to buy the finest French perfumery and toiletries. This street starts from the Egyptian obelisk and ends at the Arc de Triomphe.
Arc de Triomphe is located in the square Charles de Gaulle, and the idea of its construction dates back to the nineteenth century AD, to Napoleon Bonaparte, and contains the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, It has a permanent flame retardant.
The field of Concorde is characterized by the presence of the Egyptian obelisk, which bears the signature of Khedive Ismail, which he gave in 1831 to Louis Philippe, the place where the death of French King Louis XVI was executed.
The Louvre Museum is the largest and most important of the world’s museums. It was a castle built by Philippe Auguste in 1190 AD, then turned into a palace where the kings who ruled France lived in, most recently Louis XIV.
The museum contains many rare artifacts and ,some stolen from Egypt, during the French campaign.
