The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was a very generous person in general, but he was most generous in the holy month of Ramadan in every thing; in his work , worship and charity.
The importance of Ramadan
The importance of Ramadan is summarized as follows:
It is the month of mercy, forgiveness and freedom from fire, as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said that the beginning of this month is mercy, and its middle is forgiveness, and its last is freed from the fire.
The Muslim must realize the importance of this month by using every hour of its hours in worship and doing good, so that he may receive the mercy and forgiveness of Allah and enter the paradise.
In the month of Ramadan the devils are restricted and the the gates of hell are closed, as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “If the month of Ramadaan comes, the doors of fire are closed and the devils are restricted.
There is no doubt that this is a spiritual benefit for the Muslim to move away from the sins, and to continue the charity and obedience.
Ramadan is an opportunity to feel the poor and the needy.
Promotes feelings of tolerance among people, the fasting Muslim in this month is an example of tolerance and forgiveness.
Ramadan is the month of conquests and victories, there have been many battles in Islamic history in the month of Ramadan won by Muslims, including the Battle of Badr and the opening of Mecca.
The month of Ramadan is considered the month of prayer, and the Taraweeh prayers are held in it.
