العلماء هم ورثة الأنبياء، وهذا ما ورد في الحديث الشريف حيث علمنا رسولنا الكريم أهمية العالم. وقال لنا أن له فضل كبير فهو مثل القمر بالنسبة لباقي الكواكب. وأن العالم الذي يجتهد في مجاله وينفع الناس أفضل من العابد الذي لاينفع الناس بشئ. وقال لنا أيضًا أن العلماء سيأخذون نصيبهم من الدنيا كعلم فقط ولن يكون معهم أموال، ولكن ستخفض الملائكة أجنحتها إحترامًا لهم، وستقوم بالدعاء لهم مما يجعل لهم منزلة مرتفعة في الآخرة.
